Goals
To expand and increase homeownership opportunities for families and individuals in Detroit.
- To increase access to affordable housing and preserve homeownership.
- To help families and individuals improve their housing conditions and meet the responsibilities of tenancy and homeownership.
- FSEDP will implement protocols for Detroit Public High Schools; students’ summer break work program between the ages of 14-18 will be monitored by adult supervision.
- We will recruit from Wayne County Juvenile Detention Center to give these individuals a fresh start to become productive members of society. And register with FSEDP to develop a construction skill that would allow them to obtain an income.
- To develop training and study materials for each student.
- To have weekly safety classes on the proper use of hand and power tools.
- To provide company work uniforms or tee-shirts for 49 students.
- To have transportation to transfer students from the office to the job site for an eight-hour workday.
